Community Involvement

Parkwood is proud to have been Building a Difference in the Edmonton region for over 30 years.

We are proud to have raised $500,000 over 5 years to help a variety of causes that are close to our hearts.

As a locally family owned and operated company, the Parkwood Group of Companies is proud to have been building in the Edmonton region for over 30 years. With the generous assistance and support of our trades, employees and business associates we are delighted to have completed our fourth Benefit House with all proceeds going towards the University Hospital Foundation Brain Trust Campaign, Kids with Cancer & JDRF.
Most recently, Parkwood has proudly committed funds to support Pilgrims Hospice Society!

The Parkwood Group of Companies has committed $250,000 towards the University of Alberta Hospital’s Brain Trust Campaign. The campaign is focused on raising funds to purchase leading-edge technology for Neurosurgery and Neuroscience programs. These programs will help provide the latest diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of brain conditions including stroke, brain tumours, aneurysms, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis. So far the funds raised have contributed to the Intra-Operative MRI Suite, which provide surgeons remarkably clear images without having to move the patient out of an operating room, and Gamma Knife, a revolutionary, and noninvasive, treatment for life threatening growths and malformations on the brain.

Why parkwood
Kids with Cancer Society

For over 30 years the Kids with Cancer Society has provided vital services to children with cancer and their families. From the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond, the Society provides more programs than all other Northern Alberta charities combined. Parkwood is proud to donate $125,000 of the proceeds from the Parkwood Benefit Houses.

The help doesn’t stop there. Parkwood’s employees and trades have graciously donated their time and resources to help maintain the Kids with Cancer Society House. The house offers a home-like environment for families to relax in and access to support programs.

The Parkwood Group of Companies is proud to support Pilgrims Hospice Society, a cause near and dear to the Hanna family.

Pilgrims provides support and compassionate care for those diagnosed with a progressive, life-threatening illness as well as support to those who are grieving. Their main objective is to enhance the quality and dignity of life for these patients and their loved ones through programs and services at the Roozen Family Hospice Centre

Parkwood’s funds will be going towards grief support programs for children and teens. Bereaved children and teens are more at risk for psychological and behavioural difficulties than those who have not experienced such a loss. Providing support to a grieving child or teen can have a lifetime of impact.
