What You’ll Do 
As an Assistant Site Supervisor, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Site Supervisor with
    • day to day construction tasks including small construction repairs, scheduling and trade requests
    • trade scheduling
    • job site supervision
    • pre-occupancy tune-ups (i.e. floor squeaks, silicone fixtures, hardware installation)
  • Ensure job sites are accessible, includes:
    • building and/or installing ramps, walkways, handrails, debris removal and seasonal snow removal
    • removing garbage out of window wells
    • removing nails for wood boards onsite
    • ensuring tarps are properly sealed when propane is heating the space
  • Ensure lot signage is maintained and current
  • Provide assistance to the Interior Designer with moving/assembling furniture and Sales Centre displays
  • Monitor furnace heat and adjust according to the weather
  • Ensure all doors and windows are locked throughout the home (install construction locks)
  • Sweep/Clean house for upcoming trades
  • Clean tubs if full of garbage (report any back charges)
  • Remove debris in home and ensure stairwells are clean and safe to walk on
  • Notify Site Supervisor of any hazards, problems, or notifications

All applicants must have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide a clean driver’s abstract. Preference will be given to those that have a truck (vehicle allowance will be provided).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven candidate that brings the following skills and attributes to our team:

  • Experience in construction is an asset, but if you’re willing to dive in and learn along the way, a positive attitude goes a long way.
  • You must be able to provide a valid, government-issued drivers license and a clean driver’s abstract.
  • You consider yourself a self-motivated and hardworking individual. Bonus points if you’re excited about working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You must be organized and have the ability to multi-task as you will be working on multiple projects at any given time.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are key as you will be liaising with team members, trades, and customers regularly.
