The Parkwood Community Difference

As a locally family owned and operated company, the Parkwood Group of Companies is proud to have been building in the Edmonton region for over twenty years. With the generous assistance and support of our trades, employees and business associates we are delighted to launch the Parkwood Benefit House.

We are honoured to be able to contribute back to our beautiful city and its people through the Parkwood Benefit Houses. Our goal is to raise $500,000 over the next 5 years to help a variety of causes that have closely affected our family, friends and colleagues.

We are currently in our second year after a very successful inaugural benefit house.

University of Alberta Hospital’s Brain Trust Campaign

The Parkwood Group of Companies recently became a proud sponsor of the University of Alberta Hospital’s Brain Trust Campaign. The campaign is focused on raising funds to purchase leading-edge technology for Neurosurgery and Neuroscience programs. These programs will help provide the latest diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of brain conditions including stroke, brain tumours, aneurysms, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis. Parkwood has committed $250,000 towards this campaign.

Kids with Cancer Society

For over 30 years the Kids with Cancer Society has provided vital services to children with cancer and their families. From the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond, the Society provides more programs than all other Northern Alberta charities combined. Parkwood is proud to donate $125,000 of the proceeds from the Parkwood Benefit Houses.

The help doesn’t stop there. Parkwood’s employees and trades have graciously donated their time and resources to help maintain the Kids with Cancer Society House. The house offers a home-like environment for families to relax in and access to support programs.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)

The Parkwood Group of Companies has committed to donate $125,000 from the Parkwood Benefit House over the next 5 years to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The mission is simple, to cure diabetes and its complications. JDRF has become the leading non-profit, non-governmental funder of diabetes research in Canada and an international research powerhouse.

The Parkwood employees have generously given their time to this foundation for the second year in a row, by entering a team in the “Walk to Cure Diabetes”. Our goal is to raise an additional $2,000 towards this charity each year.
